Cyclone Nargis Relief Delivered

Disaster struck May 3rd leaving over a
million people in need of help, in military ruled Myanmar. Cyclone
Nargis ripped through tens of thousands of homes leaving over
100,000 dead and many homeless.
Though many aid agencies were stopped in their tracks, Orphan’s Hope
staff were immediately in action, mobilizing your support to care
for the urgent needs of orphans and orphanages effected by the
storm.
Our staff did a great job distributing food relief, rebuilding,
caring for the children, and more. They put roofs on at least seven
orphanages, and distributed over 7 tons of food relief to at least
19 different orphanages. We have taken in additional children and
are expecting more.

We are also grateful for our donors around the world who donated
over $25,000 to help meet the needs of the children! Through their
generosity, orphans have truly received hope!
Orphan’s Hope Myanmar consists of about 25 national staff working in
the Yangon area, helping orphans in need for over ten years.
