Thank you for your interest the Orphan's Hope website, as well as the privacy/security policies and terms guiding the use of this website.

This privacy and security statement explains how personal, payment or other information communicated by you on or through the website is collected, protected and managed by Orphan's Hope International. Respecting and protecting your privacy is also of utmost importance to us.

Orphan's Hope is a public non-profit, charitable, non-political organization, which works on behalf of orphaned and destitute children worldwide. THE ORPHAN'S HOPE WEBSITE

1. What is the purpose of the website?

We are happy to present this website to provide you with information about Orphan's Hope, and to offer you compelling opportunities to be involved in transforming orphans' lives. If you register on our website, you can receive a variety of updates of your choosing . You can also make donations to Orphan's Hope on both an automated regular and on a spontaneous basis in a range of great opportunities.

Orphan's Hope is a recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Donations are deductible for tax purposes per IRS regulations.

Orphan’s Hope accepts gifts subject to expressed donor preference in designations. However, in accordance with IRS requirements, all gifts are given to and treated as belonging fully to Orphan’s Hope and are subject to its control.

Per IRS regulations, no tax-deductible donations can be passed through or restricted to benefit any individual, but is given solely to achieve the charitable purposes of Orphan's Hope. No good or services are provided by the organization in exchange for tax-deductible donations.

2. Where and why does Orphan's Hope collect information on or through the website?

We do not ask you for any personal information if you are just visiting our website. However, for you to take advantage of some of our services, we will ask for some personal information. Also in order to help us continually to learn and improve our content and services, data is collected in an anonymous and aggregated manner, for example telling us the number of visitors to certain pages.

Some personal data such as name, address and preferences are collected when you chose to register on our website, make a donation, or when you sign up for sponsoring an orphan or home. The data you provide enables us to give you information in a personalized manner. For example if you sign-up for team information or our sponsorship program, you will receive related updates with pictures, news and stories. Registration and sign-up are completely voluntary. Completing the optional fields are your choice.

Data such as credit card numbers or other billing information are collected in order to process your donations.

3. Does Orphan's Hope use cookie information?

A "cookie" is a small piece of data that is sent to your browser from our web server and stored on your computer's hard drive. Orphan's Hope uses cookie information in order to provide better content and services to the visitors of our website. Currently this is very basic but will provide enhanced features for you in the future.

4. Does Orphan's Hope share information collected on the website with 3rd parties?

Personal data collected is not distributed, shared, rented or sold to companies or organizations that are not a part of the Orphan's Hope organizational structure. In the case that administrative services such as credit card processing are required from third parties, such services are acquired under the understanding that all personal information is treated confidentially and only for the purpose of Orphan's Hope.

If compelled by law or some other regulatory authority, Orphan's Hope may share personal information. This is also valid if we have good reason to believe that there has been an inappropriate interference with or use of our website. In such cases we maintain the right to disclose personal information as we deem appropriate, or as asked for by a legal or regulatory authority.

Aggregated, statistical and other non-personal information such as the number of visitors to our website and their use of certain features or services may be shared with third parties working with us, for example for the promotion of our website.

5. Does Orphan's Hope use addresses collected on the website for sending additional information through e-mails, traditional mail or by other means?

Orphan's Hope sends you additional information by e-mail or postal service only when you have expressed an interest in this. On our website you can subscribe and unsubscribe to our electronic newsletters or communications at any time.

6. How can I change or cancel automated/individual online donations, or opt-out of mailing lists?

In the event you wish to change your donation amount, correct any error, or be removed from a mailing list, you can call Orphan's Hope toll free at 1-888-251-2871 or 952-941-1546, or via email at Info@OrphansHope.org or write to our office address below. You can request to reverse any transfer in writing within 30 days after the transfer was made. Agreement with the donor provides that individual or regular deposits remain in effect until: 1) Donor writes a note or calls Orphan's Hope to end agreement, or 2) Orphan's Hope or their bank, sends them notice that agreement is terminated.

To unsubscribe from emails simply click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email, or send us your requst via email. For discontinuing postal mailings please also contact us at Info@OrphansHope.org.

7. What rules apply if I "click" over to another website?

Orphan's Hope may choose to link its website to the website of third parties in order to provide either a particular service or other useful information to you. Our Privacy and Security statement no longer applies when you leave the OHI website. Please consult their respective privacy and security statements for the policies guiding other sites.

8. How does the website of Orphan's Hope provide security and protect confidential information?

Orphan's Hope International uses well-recognized and proven technology for payments. Payment information is transferred by the use of an SSL connection which offers the highest degree of security that your browser is able to support.

Data on all on-line transactions are saved on a secure server hosted by an international, experienced and reputable company. Several layers of built-in security, including an advanced firewall system, encryption of credit card numbers, and use of passwords, protect the collected information.

9. May Orphan's Hope International change or discontinue any service or content offered?

Orphan's Hope maintains the right to change or discontinue any content, aspect or feature, if there is a lack of interest or if resources can be better allocated to support the needs of the children. We always work to provide the best services possible to our donors and for the children, and coordinate our services accordingly.

10. Are there any limitations on how I can use the website including its texts, images and features?

WHEN YOU USE OUR WEBSITE, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CONTAINED IN THIS STATEMENT.

Content, features and technology is offered on condition that their ownership rights are respected. Other material and technology is owned by Orphan's Hope.

Copy or use of texts, photos, graphical elements, features or technology for personal financial gain, commercial purposes or any inappropriate or unlawful activity will not be accepted. This includes use of material or technology for private interests or activities, which may harm Orphan's Hope or is not related to our work. Photos and graphical images are not excluded from these terms and conditions of use.

The name and logo of Orphan's Hope are trademarked and protected by law. The use of these in any language is not permitted without the explicit and written approval of the Orphan's Hope located at 6009 Penn Ave. S., Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA.

IT IS IMPROPER, AND MAY BE A VIOLATION OF LAW, IF YOU POST OR DOWNLOAD ANY MATERIAL YOU DO NOT OWN OR FOR WHICH YOU DO NOT HAVE PERMISSION TO USE. VIOLATION OF SOMEONE'S COPYRIGHT, TRADEMARK OR OTHER PROPERTY RIGHTS MAY SUBJECT YOU TO CIVIL OR CRIMINAL PENALTIES.

11. Does Orphan's Hope take responsibility for links and their content?

Orphan's Hope can not take responsibility for other websites or resources that we offer links to, as we have no control over these. We also can not endorse, take responsibility or liability for any content, advertising, products or other materials on or available from such websites or resources. Further we do not take responsibility or liability, direct or indirect, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with the use of or reliance on such content, goods or services available from externally linked websites or resources.

12. What is Orphan's Hope liability for the use of this website?

With regard to services provided on or through the website free of charge, Orphan's Hope shall be liable only in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence by its legal representatives or any other employee when performing her or his duties for the organization.
